Social Media Class Comments for weeks 1 & 2

Since I am having technical difficulties and cannot comment on anyone's blog, I am just going to add my comments here!

week 2:

Doris Ann - I really liked the Pinterest board that you cited about Library Ideas.  I am always looking for theme books and that helps.  I also enjoyed looking through the Books Every Geek Should Read To Their Kids Before Age 10.  Lots of favorites there that I remember from my childhood.

Cindy - Sorry to hear that you are on medical leave.  Prayers going up.  Hoping you are well soon!

week 1:

Deb - Thanks for sharing about the Facebook page for Sioux City Library. I checked it out and noticed that they did a great job of interacting with their patrons by asking questions and for their opinions.

Melissa - I loved your introduction/biography.  Very creative and interesting!

Rhonda - I agree with Doris Ann's comment on your blog about the idea of using Facebook for patrons to post their "wish lists".  This would be helpful for eBook purchases through the Advantage program also.  Most of the eBook users do not come into the library and are "virtual" users.  Although we encourage them to email us, most of these patrons are active on Facebook so that would be a good resource and use of a Facebook account for us.  I've got to get going on this!
