Growing

I have certainly learned that there is a LOT of stuff I don't know about using the tools available online. And I'm still learning more every time I look at another site which has been recommended here. I appreciate the availability of the continuing education courses from the State Library and will continue to try and take advantage of them as much as possible. (It was so exciting when someone came in with a very difficult research question the other day and we actually found an article about it on ProQuest...hooray!).
I'm not a blogger, so I don't think that I will keep that up, although I do like to read what other people have to say about library matters. I bookmarked the LibraryThing site because I want to go back and research that site a bit more.
I am also going to look at the Web 2.0 Tools and Applications. I opened that one up and tried a few "buttons" and it looks interesting.
Although I became frustrated at times, I really appreciated taking the course and would like to work with a few of these things to become more familiar with them. Perhaps once I am more comfortable with these tools, I would be able to see more creative ways that they could be used in our small rural library.
Thanks for the opportunity to grow in a new way!
