Teen Writing Camp

Creative people from 7th-9th grades showed up at the library on Monday to challenge and push themselves in writing poems, stories or song lyrics. A few warm-up exercises helped us to stretch our minds as well as learn more about each other.  Some of us shared our creations and the group respected the writer of each creative effort with applause, whether they shared or not.

Of course, we all enjoyed making our own ice cream sundaes afterwards!  Yum!

Sounds like an encouraging program! Hope it continues; writing is an excellent (positive) coping mechanism.
