I love a parade....

Truly enjoyed the 4th of July parade.  Well, okay. We were stuck in front of a very noisy antique tractor and behind a young man weaving back and forth on a 4-wheeler, but all the same it was terrific.  On the library's float we had award winning summer readers, my grandsons (who had no choice), bottles of bubbles to blow at the crowds and a big cooler of ice, with which the grandboys managed to incite a cooling ice cube war as we rounded the final corner of the parade route.  But the best part was when some library super supporters in the crowd stood up and cheered for the kids as we passed.  Can't purchase that kind of PR.
