World Book Public Library Edition
This time I looked up "tiger" for my animal and the comparison between info available at Kids edition and InfoFinder is very different! Big explosion of information at InfoFinder including links to other sites and books to read about tigers. Both had the cool video of the tiger's camouflage coloring though..... ![]() |

(And someone just came in a minute ago and had a reference question about Czechs while I was doing this...how weird is that!! They did not need the primary source info, but mainly some basic background information on the language, the national anthem, which could be played in a sound wave online...cool!).
In general I suppose. the information on the left side would be requested more often and provide more help than the primary source info in our community by our patrons.
I loved all the additional information in related encyclopedic articles, such as the biographies of famous Czechs, info about cities, and the selected media provided. But, as a former teacher, the neat things were the research assistance, the ability to build a research file, all the questions built in at the end of the article, the link to click to define a specific word in the article, and so much more! Wish I'd had access to this when I was a college student. The citation assist alone is worth a fortune to someone finishing a paper in the wee hours of the morning!
I could get lost on these sites for HOURS.

Amen to your comments about Citation Builder and other features to help students! How cool that you were able to help a patron and do your assignment at the same time! Glad you found the national anthem and other additional features. Yes, one thing leads to another and before you know it--hours have passed. Thanks for your comments, Diane.
