A small but enthusiastic group of middle school students made a commitment to read for 30 minutes a day for 3 weeks this summer as well as attend several library events. Way to go! I am so proud of their efforts. In Gregory we are blessed with so many activities in the summer that keep many teens too busy to read (is there such a thing??) Most of the youth involved were able to make it for the July 29th Award Day to pick up their prizes. Congrats to Addy for winning the big prize---a Kindle HD Fire! Other prizes included new books, bookbags, journals, movie passes and pens and notebooks for school. (We had planned a pool party but didn't want to shiver in the unseasonably cool water....maybe next year!) Congrats to all the participants in our trial program for teens this summer.
