Read Across America Day
Lemon fingers. Well that's what we had at story time today at the library. Not a cake-like confection, but rather another type of creative activity. We celebrated Dr. Seuss and Read Across America by doing silly things and using our imagination. An interactive telling of "I Know An Old Lady...", silly dances and fingerplays, learning about real vs. make-believe, and painting silly pictures in lemon pudding with our fingers (and then eating the remains). It was a wonderful silly day. Thank you, Dr. Seuss, for sharing your imagination with us!
