New books, new books! Our Usborne Book Fair during National Library Week netted us about $400 worth of brand new children's books.. It was like getting a blank check to a book store...that's the way to make a librarian happy! New board books, picture books by wonderful new authors from around the world with beautiful illustrations. Just in time for the kindergarten field trip visits this week!
My personal favorites were One Night in the Zoo by Judith Kerr and While We Were Out by Ho Baek Lee. (Although it was hard to choose...they were all so good!)
Then today, the Gregory school library was having a benefit Scholastic book fair (buy one, get one free...gasp!) so, of course, I just had to take advantage of that. Have to stock up for the summer reading kids was my justification...and they were very reasonable!
I can't wait to read Heart of a Shepherd by Rosanne Parry!
