Library Day

Our first celebration of "Take Your Child to the Library Day" was a lot of fun.  Although we only had four children participating, some were new to the library and that was exciting.  The children went from station to station where they were read to by an adult, did crafts, played games, watched a movie, checked out books and just generally had fun hanging out at the library. When they went home, they turned in their ticket full of stickers they earned at each station for a prize and a bag of popcorn.  We hope to do it again next year and spread the excitement to more of the community.  (A local basketball game was rescheduled to coincide with our event unexpectedly because of the "big storm" coming and was a possible cause of the low turnout...but we are enthused and eager to try it again.  I think the adults had has much fun as the young ones!)
